Setup an optimization solver deck to get solution proposals.

Solving any engineering problem using simulation can be done in two ways; iterative changes until reaching a solution, or using Optimization. The objective of the Optimization feature in SnRD enables the CAE analyst to seamlessly setup an optimization run based on analysis performed in the Post Processing and Sensitivity Analysis steps.

The objective is to reduce the relative displacement between selected components targeting the most contributing mode(s) identified during the diagnosis phase. Two optimization methods are proposed and supported in SnRD:
  1. Topology Optimization- Systematic problems
  2. Free Size Optimization- Non Systematic problems

  • Loadcase setup: Modal Transient (MTRAN) analysis is changed to Modal Frequency Response (MFREQ)
