Import Model

Use Import feature to import a model, DTS and material database file.

Using the Import tool, you can import-
Fresh Model
A model without any E-Lines.
Solver Deck
A working model with existing E-Lines and/or loadcase.
When a model with E-Lines is selected, SnRD searches for E-Lines definition. You will need to select the respective pre output CSV file containing the E-Lines definition for the model.
  1. From the Setup Group, select Import.
    Figure 1.
    Model Import dialog appears.
  2. Click in the panel.
A file browser window will appear.
  3. Select the required file type from Files of type drop down list.
Browse and select the required model file.
  4. Optional: Click on to specify user DTS and material files or connect to Ziegler material database.
    Figure 2.
  5. Click Import.
This imports the selected model, default or user DTS and Material files to the HyperMesh Desktop session.
Note: Once the files are specified, SnRD makes a copy of these files in to a working directory in the same directory as the model file. The name of the working directory will follow the name of the model file and suffixed with _SNRD. For example, if the mode file name is SnR_demo_model, then the name of the working directory will be SnR_demo_model_SNRD.
