Rapidly change the shape of the FE mesh without severely sacrificing the mesh quality and create, edit, and apply
shapes for subsequent design optimization studies.
The Design Space environment is dedicated to topology optimization model build and setup. It facilitates rapid model creation by generating
the voxel design space for a number of different use cases.
Many essential utility tools using HyperWorks-Tcl have been developed over the years to support Aerospace customers. A few tools have been collected and upgraded to
be compatible with this release.
Use Import feature to import a model, DTS and material database
file.
Using the Import tool, you can
import-
Fresh Model
A model without any E-Lines.
Solver Deck
A working model with existing E-Lines and/or
loadcase.
When a model with E-Lines is selected, SnRD searches for
E-Lines definition. You will need to select the
respective pre output CSV file containing the E-Lines
definition for the model.
From the Setup Group, select
Import.
Model Import dialog appears.
Click in the panel.
A file browser window will appear.
Select the required file type from Files of type drop
down list.
Browse and select the required model file.
Optional: Click on to specify user DTS and material files or connect
to Ziegler material database.
Click Import.
This imports the selected model, default or user DTS and Material files to the
HyperMesh Desktop session.
Note: Once the files are specified, SnRD makes a copy of these files in to a working
directory in the same directory as the model file. The name of the working
directory will follow the name of the model file and suffixed with
_SNRD. For example, if the mode file name is
SnR_demo_model, then the name of the working directory
will be SnR_demo_model_SNRD.
Import Options
Description of various Import options.
Model File
File containing the model. Supported file formats are:
*.hm- HyperMesh models.
*.fem- OptiStruct solver decks.
DTS File
Dimension Tolerance Specifications (DTS) - A *.csv file
containing the manufacturing tolerance between the components in the
model.
Material File
A *.csv file containing the user created material
data.
Note: The default Material and DTS files can be used as templates. These
are located at: <Altair Installation
Directory>\hwdesktop\mv\scripts\tcl\snr\pre\config.
