You apply protection to a state chart in the Options tab for the State Chart Properties dialog box.
Restricting access to a state chart is like restricting access to a block diagram. You have the choice of password protection, read-only password protection, and read-only requested protection.
To restrict or change the access of a state chart
1. Do one of the following:
•To lock the state chart, activate Locked and enter a password in the Password box.
•To make the state chart read-only, activate Read Only and enter a password in the Password box.
2. A password can contain up to 10 characters and can include any combination of letters and numbers. Embed echoes an asterisk (*) for each character you type. Passwords are case sensitive.
3. Click OK, or press enter.
