Launch tasks are a much leaner form of tasks that are dedicated to launching any type
of application. They can be used when in case actions have to be performed inside of
the applications. For example,

Launch Inspire including its
customization to modify the geometry of a part.
Altair Simulation applications have a common customization extension
framework. You can launch the application with its customization by adding the
environment variable HWX_Plugins to the Launch task. Figure 1.
