Geocoding

Panopticon Designer (Desktop) is shipped with a series of geocoding resources to support the geographic display of datasets without supplied longitudes and latitudes.  These resources are extracted from and a subset of the data available at http://www.geonames.org.

The resources should be added in a Data Table, and joined on a common key field to add Longitude and Latitude to an existing dataset.  The combined data schema can then be utilized in the Map Plot visualization.  Of course, any data can be used to provide geo-coding rather than just using the supplied resources.

And includes:

• Postal Codes
