Automatic Parameterization

Parameters can be automatically updated within a dashboard by right-clicking on a visualization item, and selecting from the context menu the item with the blue lightning bolt.  This will detail the parameters that are to be updated.  The parameter values being passed will include all possible values of the selected item.

In some circumstances it may be appropriate to disable this automatic parameterization, and instead utilise more configurable navigation actions.

Disabling Across a Dashboard

1. Right-click on the Dashboard tab to display the context menu and select Properties.

2. Set the Auto Parameterization option to Off.

Disabling on a Visualization Basis

1. Click Settings of a visualization. The corresponding Settings dialog displays.

2. Select the Off option in the Automatic Parameterization drop down.

3. Click Close.
