Permute panel

Use the Permute panel to switch coordinates of model entities in the global coordinate system. To undo a permutation, permute again without changing the selection or settings.

Subpanels and Inputs


There are no subpanels on the Permute panel. All inputs and command buttons are located on the main panel.

 

Panel Inputs

Action

entity selector

Used to select entities for permutation.

Valid entity types include nodes, elements, components, lines, solids, surfaces, and points.

x <-> y

Permuting with this option exchanges the selected entities’ X and Y coordinates.  For example, a node located at coordinates (45,20,15) would move to (20,45,15).

x <-> z

Permuting with this option exchanges the selected entities’ X and Z coordinates.

y <-> z

Permuting with this option exchanges the selected entities’ Y and Z coordinates.

 

Command buttons

The following action buttons appear:
