Altair SmartWorks Analytics

Palette

The Palette in SmartWorks Analytics allows you to create workflows. It comprises two tabs: Nodes and Execution Profiles.

Nodes

The Nodes tab displays all of the nodes you can add to your Workflow Canvas to create a workflow. These nodes are broadly categorized as Code nodes, Connect nodes, Data Preparation nodes, and Machine Learning nodes. Some of these nodes are shown below.

Execution Profiles

The Execution Profiles tab allows you to link an Execution Profile and session to your nodes. Each Execution Profile is identified by a Node Badge to help you keep track of which execution was employed to create a specific workflow.

Several actions can be carried out on Execution Profiles on the basis of their status. The images below illustrate these actions.

  • Jupyter-based (i.e., Pandas or Apache Spark) Execution Profile that is healthy

  •

  • Desktop-based (i.e., Altair Desktop Suite) that is healthy

  •

  • Jupyter-based (i.e., Pandas or Apache Spark) Execution Profile that has reached the session limit

  •

  • Jupyter-based (i.e., Pandas or Apache Spark) Execution Profile with no active session
