Compare the shielding factor results for the sphere using the MoM and FEM solution methods.

View the shielding factor of the sphere with respect to the incident electric and magnetic fields.
Tip: Calculate the ratio between the field measured inside the sphere and the field incident on the sphere.
  1. Incident electric field on sphere: The incident electric field strength was set to Ei = 1 V/m.
  2. Incident magnetic field on sphere: Calculate the incident magnetic field from the wave impedance for a plane wave as follows:
    (1) H i = E i η 0 = 1 376 . 7 = 2 . 6544 × 10 - 3   A / m
  3. The shielding factor is calculated from as follows:
    (2) S e = - 20 * l o g E E i   [ d B ]
    (3) S h = - 20 * l o g H H i   [ d B ]
