New to Inspire? Learn the basics here.
Start using Inspire with our interactive tutorials.
Create and modify sketch curves, PolyNURBS, surfaces, and solids.
Create polymesh objects from other types of geometry and results.
Quickly create free-form solid geometry that is smooth and continuous.
Set up your model and run a structural analysis or optimization.
Create connections and apply loads, constraints, materials, and manufacturing controls to your model.
Set up and run a linear static analysis using the SimSolid or OptiStruct solver. You can also analyze normal modes and buckling modes.
Inspire offers several types of linear static analysis, as well as normal modes and buckling modes.
You can choose whether to use SimSolid or Optistruct as the solver when running a structural analysis.
Choose whether to run jobs locally, in the cloud, or on a remote job server.
Define and run a linear static, normal modes, or buckling modes analysis using the Run Analysis tool. The analysis includes materials, concentrated masses, and loads and supports, but ignores constraints.
Use the Show Analysis Results tool to view the results of a linear static, normal modes, or buckling modes analysis in the Analysis Explorer. View and animate results, add callouts, and compare results from different runs.
Use the Analysis Explorer to view the results of an analysis.
Finite element analysis produces a number of different result types for each load case depending on the type of analysis that was run and what options where chosen. Click on one of the Result Types in the Analysis Explorer to view the results.
Use the Analysis Explorer to view normal modes results.

Use the Animation Toolbar that appears at the bottom of the modeling window to animate and record results.
Call out and review values for a selected result type at points of interest on your model using the callout icons in the Analysis Explorer.
Compare the results of multiple analysis runs in a table. The Compare Results button is located at the bottom of the Analysis Explorer.
View the status of the current run, as well runs for the current model that have not yet been viewed. To see all past runs, you need to view the run history.
View, sort, open, and delete past runs for the current and previous models.
Set up and run a topology, topography, gauge, or lattice optimization.
Set up and run a motion analysis, plot the results, and export the results.
Preapare and run an additive manufacturing simulation, and export a file for 3D printing.
Set up and run a basic porosity or thinning analysis.
View the glossary, frequently asked questions, and errors and alerts.
Learn keyboard shortcuts and mouse controls for common operations.
